Tourism is a major contributor to the national economy and to the job market. To ensure that the benefits of growing numbers of foreign and domestic tourists are shared between rural and urban communities, pro-poor, high-value tourism should be established. Siddharthinc has helped to establish this agenda by:

• Developing conservation and tourism plans for Lumbini, Bandipur, Manaslu and the World heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley.
• Facilitating the workshop for the creation of the Kailash Sacred Landscape between Nepal, India and China with GIZ and ICIMOD.
• Leading Kathmandu Municipality’s response to Visit Nepal Year.
